Stratonikeia Antique City is 6-7 km from Yatağan District of Muğla. It is within the boundaries of Eskihisar Village on Yatağan-Milas highway to the west. Kent, BC It was founded in the 3rd century. Today, there is the abandoned Eskihisar Village on the ancient city. The city is surrounded by walls and today only insignificant extensions of the city walls can be seen. In the northeastern corner of the settlement area, there are ruins of a strong castle built with large cut stones and lime mortar. The building was built with limestone mortar with large cut stones. It is understood from the stones and column bodies with inscriptions taken from other structures that the building was repaired. The main entrance door on the northern edge of the city consists of large blocks. It was built with wide and fine masonry. It is understood from the ruins that this door has an arch. The door has two entrances. There is a nymphaion between the two door entrances. The presence of a columnar area and a road can be seen after the door.
